AMKCO Screen Cleaning Rings (Sliders)
AMKCO Screen Cleaning Rings, also known as Sliders, are a highly effective solution for preventing screen blinding, especially in applications where fibers, sticky materials, or gummy residues may clog the mesh surface.
These low-profile rings sit directly beneath the working screen and glide across the bottom surface during normal vibration. Their movement helps cut fibers, shear agglomerates, and scrape away residue, ensuring that the screen stays clean and performs consistently.
Sliders are available in food-grade polypropylene, nylon, or polyurethane, and offered in single or cluster configurations to suit various products and mesh sizes.
Working Principle
Sliders rest on a perforated support plate or coarser screen layer located just below the fine mesh screen. During machine operation, the separator’s vibration causes the rings to move randomly across the underside of the screen with 1–2 mm of clearance.
This gentle contact:
- Scrapes off clogging material
- Cuts fibrous build-up
- Prevents agglomeration and sticky residues
The hollow design of the rings also promotes consistent product flow while maintaining full screen area contact — especially important in low-density or fine material screening.
Product Feature
Hollow Design for Full-Surface Contact
The rings move freely beneath the screen with minimal clearance, ensuring consistent cleaning across the entire mesh area.
Built for Durability and Resistance
Manufactured in wear-resistant materials such as polypropylene, nylon, and polyurethane, suitable for abrasive, chemical, or high-temperature environments.
Available in Single or Cluster Styles
Can be configured as individual rings or grouped clusters, depending on product characteristics and flow behavior.
Product Advantage
Reduces Screen Blinding, Increases Uptime
Keeps screen openings clear without needing frequent stoppages or manual cleaning.
Energy-Free Cleaning Action
No external power or air supply needed — cleaning occurs passively via machine vibration.
Food-Grade Options for Sensitive Applications
Available in FDA-compliant materials, suitable for food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic powders.
FAQ
What types of materials benefit from slider rings?
Ideal for fibrous materials, sticky powders, agglomerates, or any product prone to screen blinding.
How do they clean the screen without damaging it?
They glide with low friction and minimal force (1–2 mm clearance), scraping gently without damaging fine mesh.
Can they be used with any screen size?
Yes. The rings are effective across a wide range of mesh sizes — especially between 100–325 mesh where blinding is most common.
Are they safe for food or pharma use?
Yes. We offer FDA-approved materials like polypropylene and polyurethane for hygienic processes.
How are they installed?
Simply placed between the working screen and a perforated backing plate or ball tray — no fasteners or tools needed.
What’s the difference between single and cluster rings?
Single rings are ideal for smaller separators or low-density products. Cluster configurations are more aggressive, suitable for heavy-duty or high-blinding materials.
